Buddha at Hussain Sagar

This monolith statue (probably the largest in Asia) of the Budha stands on a tiny island in the middle of Hussain Sagar Lake. On the the first attempt at erecting the statue, the barge carrying it sank. The sunken statue was retrieved several years later and re-erected in its present site.
